The Palomino Blackwing 602 is not just a pencil, it is an experience! The world's most famous pencil is made in Japan from Genuine Incense Cedar and has a special graphite formulation lead, making it the world's preeminent writer's pencil.

The Blackwing 602 is the modern reincarnation of the famous Eberhard-Faber 602. It is amazing to write with. The special graphite formulation lead behaves like a B Lead pencil but you can dictate the writing quality of the lead through varying pressure, effectively allowing for writing experiences from HB (firm) to 4B (soft).

It has a very precise point with good point retention and makes a dark grey line. Its motto is emblazoned on the barrel - Half the Pressure. Twice the Speed - and this is a great description of the writing experience. The barrel is long (20.5cm) fairly wide (.75cm) and beautifully sleek, with an unmistakable, indeed legendary rectangular ferrule and eraser. The erasers are replaceable.
