The Monteverde Colour Fusion Ink Ball is a truly marvellous innovation in pen technology and one of the biggest break-throughs in the pen world for decades! All of the convenience and familiarity of a ballpoint pen combined with the breadth of colour and expression that fountain pen lovers the world over enjoy everyday! Rather than a conventional pen refill, the Ink Ball has a fountain pen converter inside and special ink feeding mechanism. 

It refills just like any fountain pen - you can submerge the tip of the pen into a bottle of fountain pen ink, you can submerge the converter directly into a bottle of ink or you can refill using standard International Fountain Pen Ink Cartridges like J Herbin, Monteverde or Kaweco! The bottle filling method is recommended over the cartridge filling method due to a small quick that helps draw ink into the pen, though both are possible.

Enjoy super smooth writing with liquid ink and great value refills using bottled ink, fed directly through the durable tungsten carbide ball at the tip of the pen. This wonderful technology is complemented by a metal barrel with 3 layers of lacquer, screw cap and beautiful weight and balance.

It comes fitted with a Monteverde Ink Converter and can be refilled with universal ink cartridges (J Herbin, Monteverde, Kaweco) or any bottle of fountain pen ink. You can also pick up spare ink converters.
